The R&D industry has undergone a recent shift in priorities to focus on primary business missions.  We are here to support these efforts by providing site staffing and program services support. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is one of several states that allows radioactive material licensees to designate an outside person (i.e., registered consultant) as their radiation safety officer (RSO).  Our team has a proven track record of supporting such programs without ever incurring a Notice of Violation as RSO. We bring our years of experience servicing as facility RSOs to get your program on track and in compliance.  

DDES, LLC will support monthly and quarterly laboratory surveys of all radioactive materials use labs.  Surveys to include sample analysis, report generation, and follow up with radiation users as required.  We support low level radioactive waste (LLRW) management programs with the following services:

• Preparation of dry solid waste for disposal or on-site decay in storage
• Sampling and characterization of aqueous liquid radioactive waste
• Surveying decay-in-storage waste for release
• Collection of radioactive and mixed waste from laboratories
• Distribution and collection of radiation dosimetry
• Receipt survey radioactive materials packages
• Routine survey of equipment for free-release
